Ebernburg in Bad Münster am Stein-Ebernburg
11.-13. September 2019

The focus of the workshop are models, mathematical tools, and numerical methods which are relevant in the projects of the collaborative research centre TRR 146, especially multiscale methods, coarse graining, hybrid discretisation methods, and inverse problems.

Program:
The workshop starts at 11:00 on September 11th and ends before 15:30 on September 13th. On the 12th, there is a free afternoon with an excursion.

Program (as of September 10)

The program will feature a keynote lecture by Thomas Speck as well as presentations by postdocs, doctoral students and master's students on topics related to the TRR. The working language of the workshop will be English. Talks will last 25 minutes, plus 5 minutes for discussion. All speakers are kindly asked to provide sufficient introductory material in their talks.

Accommodation: Single and double rooms on Ebernburg castle. Rooms are available from 15:00 on the 11th, and need to be vacated by 10:00 on the 13th. Bed sheets and towels are provided; please bring your own soap, shampoo etc.

How to get there:
Train from Mainz Hbf to Bad Münster Bahnhof (Bad Münster a Stein), running approx. every 30 minutes:
departure 9:27 (RB 33), arrival 10:07 (the organizers will take this train and provide group tickets as needed; meeting point 9:10 in the station hall above the platforms)
departure 9:56 (RE 3), arrival 10:29
From the station, 20 minutes walk to Evangelische Familienferien-und Bildungsstätte Ebernburg, Burg Ebernburg, 55583 (alternatively: taxi or Bus 201 from Bad Münster Bahnhof, direction Ebernburg Schule, to Ebernburg Bahnhof at 10:32)
